Policies and Guidelines
Circulation
Materials circulate for three weeks and may be renewed indefinitely unless someone is waiting.
Our Library of Things collection circulates for one week.
We do not charge fines.
Use of Library Facilities
The Library is available for use by non-profit and civic groups. Groups or individuals using the library may not charge admission or fees for activities.
The community room is also available for use by individuals or small groups. Please contact us to schedule use of
these space.
Inter-Library Loan
You can use CLoVER to request books, audio books, DVDs, and articles that the Lawrence Memorial Library does not own. Please request items that are at least 6 months old.
Internet
We strive to protect the First Amendment rights of our patrons, and their individual rights of privacy. However, because Internet workstations are located in public areas, images on the screen and paper printouts of those images may be visible to others. Internet users must respect the rights and sensitivities of others, which is consistent with the library’s general rules of conduct.
Homecard
You must be a patron 18 or older in good standing to get a Homecard from us. When checking items out at a participating library you will need to follow the rules and policies of that library and return the items to the library you borrowed them from.
Family Passes
During the week, passes must be returned by 6:00PM the day of use.
On the weekend passes must be returned by 6:00 PM Sunday night.
